How to choose the squeegee for screen printing?

Author

Hello , I am in the early stages of experimenting with screen printing. I was wondering how to choose a squeegee for screen printing. I have seen that there are different types of custom screen printing, what are the differences and uses?

The vulko of the standardsIt is distinguished by size and hardness. The standard size of the vulko, the most used at all, is the 509 mm section, exactly like the one you have.

There are other sections, necessary in automatic machines, that have a specific vulko holder bar.

HevulkoIt is manufactured in various hardnesses, and the unit of measurement is the Shore.
The medium hardness, which is suitable for most uses, is 75 Shore and, normally, vulko of this hardness is manufactured in green (but the choice of color depends a lot on the manufacturer).

The softer vulko (60-65 Shore) is generally brown in color, and is used to increase the amount of ink that is deposited on the printing medium.

The hardest vulkos (80-85 Shore and more) are generally white or blue and are used in automatic and fast machines, for printing screens; With these hardnesses the ink deposit is more limited and more precise.

Our standard vulko, the one we sell in a ratio of 100:1 with respect to the other types, has a section of 509 mm, is green in color and has a hardness of 75 Shore.
